Support & help for the Apple Watch breathing app
Breathe Pacer guides paced breathing exercises on your Apple Watch and shows your heart rate as you go. This page explains how to use it and answers common questions.
Breathe Pacer needs permission to read your heart rate. On first launch it asks for Health access — if you declined, you can turn it on in the iPhone Health app under Sharing › Apps › Breathe Pacer, or in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health. Also make sure the watch is worn snugly on your wrist, since a loose fit prevents heart-rate readings. The app works either way — without permission it simply shows no reading.
Open the Health app on your iPhone, tap your profile, choose Privacy › Apps, select Breathe Pacer, and toggle the data types. You can also revoke access at any time.
Longer sessions (for example 1008 cycles) keep heart-rate tracking active the whole time, which uses more battery — similar to a long workout. Starting from a good charge is a good idea for extended practice.
No. Breathe Pacer has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking, and your health data never leaves your device. See the privacy policy for details.
