Breathe Pacer is a watchOS app that guides timed breathing exercises and shows your heart rate during a session. This policy explains what health data the app uses and how it is handled. In short: your data stays on your device.

Health data the app accesses

With your permission, Breathe Pacer uses Apple HealthKit to:

• Read your heart rate during a breathing session, so it can display live vitals and show a summary (average, minimum, maximum, and change in heart rate) when the session ends.
• Read your heart rate variability (HRV) to display your most recent reading in the session summary, when one is available.
• Write Mindful Minutes to the Health app, recording each completed breathing session as mindfulness time.

The app requests only these data types, and only uses them for the purposes above. You can grant or revoke this access at any time in the Health app under Sharing › Apps, or in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health. All features of the app continue to work if you decline health access — the vitals display simply shows no reading.

How your data is handled

• Your health data never leaves your device. It is read from and written to Apple Health locally on your Apple Watch and iPhone.
• Breathe Pacer does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your health data with the developer or any third party.
• Breathe Pacer has no servers, no analytics, and no advertising. The app makes no network connections.
• The app does not require an account, login, or any personal information.
• Health and fitness data is never used for marketing or advertising, and is never shared with third parties for those purposes, in accordance with Apple's HealthKit requirements.

Data retention and deletion

Because Breathe Pacer stores no data of its own, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Any heart rate, HRV, or Mindful Minutes records live in Apple Health and are managed by you there. Deleting the app does not remove data already saved to Apple Health; you can remove that data in the Health app at any time.

Children's privacy

Breathe Pacer is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
